Club Information
Stout Mountain Railway "Playground of Imagination ". Group formed to build a garden railway in a public park. Built on an old rocky mound on the northeast corner of Stout Park in the city of Brookings, Oregon. Phase one is 300 feet two level layout that will be having its Golden Spike ceremony at the Azalea Festival in May 2008. The club has sold leases to the buildings that are in our layout. Videos will be made for sponsors to display on their web sites. Looking to having a web cam on the garden for all to watch. Lots of Bonsai in the garden. Club will hold regular events and welcome visitors to run their trains on The Stout Mountain Railway. Our slogon "PLAYGROUND of IMAGINATION" . We have Mills,Mines,Bridges,Trestles,Tunnels, and Towns. Location! Location! Location!
We meet for business meetings on the first Monday of the month at the Chetco Community Public Library, 405 Alder, Brookings, Oregon. 6:30PM. Work detail weather permitting.
Stout Mountain Railway is located in the northeast corner of Stout Park in the city of Brookings, Oregon. Just north of the California/ Oregon border on Hwy 101. turn right at Oak st. up 2 blocks on left.
